Dear Parents,
You might have heard from your son or daughter that I am expecting a baby at the beginning of February. I wanted to send a letter home to inform you that I am excited to say this is true! What this means for you and your son/daughter is that a permanent substitute will be replacing me while I am on my maternity leave. My maternity leave will begin on Monday, January 28 and will extend through the end of the school year. I should be returning for the last week (approx.) of school. Allison Marsh will be my substitute during that time period. Miss Marsh is very familiar with Penn Harris Madison and Schmucker. Last year she completed her student teaching requirement at Penn High School while she worked as an aid right here at Schmucker Middle School. If your son/daughter had Mrs. Jones for Language Arts last year, it is likely that he/she worked with Miss Marsh. I am very confident that Miss Marsh will do an excellent job in the classroom. I feel very good about taking this time off because I know that I am leaving my students in the hands of an excellent teacher. If you have any questions please email me at Seck@phm.k12.in.us. Once Miss Marsh takes over, she will be sending a letter home with more information. Thank you for your support. It has been a true pleasure working with your children so far this year!
